After many, many years Sin Comix will be opening up commissions again which will include illustrations and small comics. I am still ironing out the information and the whatnot, but I suspect that it will be starting around late May - early June. So if you were ever interested in getting some artwork from us, be on the look out very, very soon.
This piece took me an entire month to draw. Well, because I drew out and colored even and every one of them out separately. It was a lot of fun to do, but Origami Cyclone's outfit was a real pain in the ass to work on. I did get through it. but I was so glad when I was done with it. Tiger's, to me, was the most well thought out one imo. It really had the Tiger motif going for it. Even moreso than Bunny's.
Completed in Illustrator and Photoshop.
This was uploaded in another post and now you get to see what it looks like colored. It was completed in Copic markers and that new awesome copic airbrush kit that we scored from one of those awesome 40% coupons from Dick Blick. Also, a little bit about Orion. Once upon a time we had a webcomic that we were working on at the time and it was Orion. It was about a young boy who had fallen head over heels for a older high school girl and how their weird relationship played out. The unfortunate thing is that we had the script for the next 3 chapters and one huge storyarch when I lost the papers that we had made all of the corrections on. I was never able to find the papers before I could make the corrections on the actual document. So then that was it, even though we had all of the pages for the third chapter almost done I couldn't do much for the story and the changes that were made.
After this we learned to have the story all typed up and revised BEFORE we start drawing. It was a very valuable lesson indeed. ORION is here if anyone is interested in reading it.
This is Superman at home showing Batman how to perform a german suplex on a bull. Ivory M. and I were discussing the essential differences between Batman and Superman. Superman is still a country boy and Batman (Bruce Wayne) is still a city slicker. So we were talking about how Superman might invite Bruce to his place and show him the ropes of the place. He would really be in his element back at home on the farm and Batman would be out of his. So then this piece was born.
This weekend marks the end of our con hopping for the moment though. We attended both Mocca and Boston Comic Con in the past two weeks. Boston was a lot smaller than we thought, but we got to meet some great and amazing artists. Maybe my next post I'll go over all of them. At Mocca, it has gotten way bigger than before. I had just come from class so I only got to attend for like about 1 hour and half while Ivory M. was there for a good amount of time. As always, we buy as much stuff as we can which does leave big gaping holes in our wallets.
Completed in Copic markers. Characters are © DC Comics.
